Telltale Games has announced that the third season in their hit adventure game The Walking Dead, based off of the TV show by the same name, will begin late 2016. For fans of the series who have played Season 2 with the first episode in December 2013 and the fifth episode in August 2014, this long-awaited announcement is welcome news for those who helped Telltale Games rise to its current fame.
The CEO of Telltale Games, Kevin Bruner, told Mashable in an interview that, “From a role-playing, interactive storytelling point of view, it is not from the bag of tricks that we’ve ever shown anybody before.”
For fans who played the first two seasons on an older console and want to continue their adventure without starting anew, Bruner states to not worry. “We’ve got a strategy to help Season 3 players… collect all their data from the previous games. [W]e didn’t have the cloud services in Season 1 that we have now. So we’re going to have a solution for everybody that we’re not talking about it yet.”
What do you think? Are you planning to go back to the adventures of Clementine (and maybe Kenny)?
